Kansa (Bronze) Thali Set - 6-Piece Traditional Bronze Dinner Set
Sit down to a meal the way generations before us did — on gleaming, hand-cast Kansa. This complete 6-piece Kansa (bronze) thali set from Heritage Kosh brings the warmth of a traditional Indian dining ritual to your table, crafted by skilled artisans from high-tin bronze and finished by hand to a soft golden glow.
Every piece is individually cast, turned and polished, so no two sets are ever exactly alike. Together they make a wholesome single-person thali — plate, bowls, tumbler and spoon — equally at home for daily satvik meals, festive occasions, or as a heirloom-quality gift.

Why Kansa?
Kansa — an alloy of copper and tin — has been prized in Indian households for centuries. In the Ayurvedic tradition it is regarded as a satvik metal and is often the preferred choice for eating and drinking vessels. Beyond tradition, Kansa is simply beautiful: a warm, living metal that develops a gentle patina and grows more characterful with age and use.
Handcrafted character
Because each piece is cast and finished by hand, you may notice fine turning lines, subtle tonal variation, or a small “navel” mark at the centre where it was shaped on the lathe. These are hallmarks of authentic handmade Kansa — not defects — and are what give every set its individual character.
Care instructions
- Hand-wash with a mild dishwashing liquid or a traditional paste of tamarind/lemon and a little salt to restore shine.
- Dry immediately with a soft cloth to keep the lustre bright.
- Avoid harsh abrasive scrubbers, dishwashers and prolonged soaking.
- A natural darkening or patina over time is normal and can be gently polished back whenever you like.
